Living within the castle space inevitably evokes parallels with its former inhabitants — different owners and their everyday lives. The quantity of shards suggests not only domestic utensils, but also hints at traces of chaotic, intense living. Their fragmentary nature is visually captivating, yet at the same time it stimulates the imagination, inviting one to mentally complete the missing forms. Arranged within the pages of a book, these fragments of pottery and tiles become a kind of narrative fragment, allowing speculation about glazing traditions, decoration during different periods of the castle’s existence, and the owners who may once have used - and broken - these objects themselves.

During the creative process, an intuitive contrast to the fragment emerged - a complete, unified vase summarizing the shards and bringing them together into a single form. The exhibition also includes several smaller “Amphorae for Sour Milk.”
The skeletal series is complemented by fragments of tree branches found in the park of Panemunė Castle, around the burial mounds of Grand Duke Vytautas of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and his wife. Printed using photopolymer technique, these fragments resemble human bones (a clavicle, finger bone, hip bone). I exhibit these objects as personal, interpreted archaeological findings.
